One of my all time favorite immune boosters are essential oils! I use Doterra essential oils which are certified therapeutic grade and are one of the purest you can find. My favorites for the cold season… Ongaurd, Breathe, Oregano, and Frankincense. Ongaurd is a mixture of essential oils that are anti microbial, anti bacterial and anti viral. I diffuse it into the air and it helps kill air borne pathogens and clean the air.

Breathe: I like to diffuse breathe, another mixture for clearing lungs and sinuses for when you’re all stuffed up, at nighttime if my kiddos are sick so they can breathe easier. It works wonders. I also put it on their chest and it clears up their noses in about five minutes.

Oregano and Frankincense: I dilute oregano and frankincense with some fractionated coconut oil and put it on the bottom of my kids feet every morning and night. Both of these are immune defenders and help boost the immune system. My children never seam to get as sick or sick at all when I’m really diligent with these oils- seriously miracle liquids! Love em, love em!

Barleans Olive Leaf Complex
This an essential daily supplement to powerhouse your immune system and has more antioxidant power than Gogi and Acai combined! Olive leaf is a powerful anti aging, anti oxidant and immune system booster… What can be better?! And just for a bonus it is also full of trace elements like selenium, iron, chromium, zinc, beta-carotene, and vitamin C! I take this every morning and give to my kids too… About 1/2 TBS for kids two and over and 1 TBS for adults.

Grapefruit Seed Extract
I’ve been using this for years and it has become a staple during the cold season. I call it “nature’s antibiotic.” My whole family is on it when they get sick. If you feel a cold coming on, start taking it and you’ll be better in half the time! About 12-15 drops in juice three times a day. Seriously another miracle worker! (note, if you are taking any medication make sure you talk to your doctor before taking)
